On October 24, the Faculty of Business Administration welcomed Capital Markets Board of Turkey (SPK) Chairman Dr. Vahdettin Ertaş to campus, where he spoke to the Executive MBA class of 2016 as a guest lecturer in Dr. Banu Sultanoğlu’s “Foundations of Quantitative Methods and Financial Reporting” course.
Dr. Ertaş discussed the Turkish economy as well as the development of the financial reporting system in Turkey. In the first part of his lecture, he assessed the current and future structure of the Turkish economy and capital markets. In the second part, he discussed the financial reporting system of Turkish public and private companies. Following his talk, Dr. Ertaş responded to numerous questions from EMBA participants.
