This fall, the Chess Society is holding chess classes at the beginner and intermediate levels. The first sessions will take place on Thursday, October 23 at 5:40 p.m. in room Z24 of the Student Union (U) building (next to the EE building).

The topics to be covered during the sessions are from “Chess Fundamentals,” written by chess master José Raúl Capablanca. The classes are free and do not require registration. Participants taking GE250/251 will receive 20 points.
