Ela Fasllija, a PhD candidate in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design working in the area of acoustics and sound-absorbing materials, has been selected to receive an international student grant from the Committee on International Research and Education (CIRE) of the Acoustical Society of America.
The selection was made on the basis of her project proposal, academic achievements and extracurricular activities as a graduate student. The purpose of the award is to encourage students enrolled in acoustic research programs at universities or technical institutes in developing countries to continue their studies in various fields of acoustics.
