An exhibition of works by Asst. Prof. Ahmet Özsalar of the Department of Fine Arts opened earlier this month at the Detay Art Gallery in downtown Ankara. The exhibition, which consists of ceramics, is titled “Çamur bir Tuvaldir” (Clay as Canvas); it will run through April 20.
Mr. Özsalar received a master’s degree from the Pratt Institute in New York in 1984. After teaching at other universities, he joined the Bilkent faculty in 1996. He teaches FA 217 Ceramics, FA 219 Ancient Techniques and New Technology in Mosaics, Art Studio and drawing.
