Last Sunday, volunteers from TDP (Toplumsal Duyarlılık Projeleri/Social Responsibility Projects) spent some time helping homeless animals. Buses arranged by TDP’s institutional department took over forty participants to visit the Melih Yılmaz Foundation dog shelter, one of the largest such shelters in Turkey.

During the visit, volunteers toured the veterinary clinic area, including the surgery, spay/neuter and examination rooms, as well as the kennel area where the dogs live. A highlight of the day was the opportunity to run and play with the shelter dogs. The volunteers also brought donations of dog food, cardboard and old newspapers. After the visit, the volunteers stopped at Eymir Lake before returning to campus.

If you want to participate in TDP’s volunteer activities, please don’t hesitate to contact them. And even if you don’t have time to volunteer, you can still contribute to this effort to help homeless animals by donating dog food.

TDP is always ready to welcome new volunteers who want to be part of the solution.
