COMD alumna Nisan Dağ (’08) has won a prize at the Antalya Film Festival’s Industry Forum, dedicated to supporting a new generation of Turkish directors, with her relationship drama “When I’m Done Dying.”
The winning project in the forum’s Feature Pitching Platform, Ms. Dağ’s drama is set amid İstanbul’s hip-hop scene and tells the story of a talented young drug-addicted rapper from İstanbul’s historic Sulukule gypsy quarter, who falls for a young woman from a higher social class with tragic results.
“When I’m Done Dying” is the director’s follow-up to her Slamdance Film Festival prizewinner, “Across the Sea” (2014).
