This year’s Ankara Startup Summit, held at the Bilkent Hotel and Conference Center on December 15, attracted over 800 attendees. Organized by the Bilkent Young Entrepreneurs Society in partnership with Bilkent Cyberpark, with İş Bank Workup as its main sponsor, the event brought the founders of aspiring startups together with well-known figures from the entrepreneurial world.
The summit culminated in a competition among 18 startups, selected from over 100 applicants. The startups competed in three categories: Elevator Pitch, Startup Finalist Battle and Big Four Battle. The Neverwhere team, consisting of Computer Engineering students Bartu Atabek, Utku Görkem Ertürk, Merve Sağyatanlar and Deniz Yüksel and advised by Asst. Prof. Eray Tüzün, took first place in the Elevator Pitch category, gaining the team an invitation to participate in the İş Bank Workup entrepreneurship program.
