On October 16, the Bilkent University Political Thought Club hosted a lecture by Doğu Perinçek, chairman of the Labor Party and an important figure in Turkish politics, in which he has been active for 50 years. The club, which organizes lectures and discussions on topics related to recent history, politics and current events, invited Mr. Perincek for a lecture on “The Process of Peace and Solidarity in Turkey.”
The event attracted great interest among Bilkenters, who packed the lecture hall to hear Mr. Perinçek’s remarks. In a 40-minute lecture, he shared his ideas about peace, terrorism, war in the Middle East and government policy. Following this, he responded to numerous questions from the audience.
The club will continue their schedule of events this week, hosting Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, chairman of the CHP (Republican’s People Party), on Thursday, October 23.
