EE Grad Student’s Paper Named Best at USMOS 2015

Polat Göktaş, a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering supervised by Prof. Ayhan Altıntaş, received the Best Paper Award at the sixth National Modeling and Simulation for Defense Applications conference (USMOS 2015) for his paper “Analysis of a Fixed Terrestrial Point-to-Point Communication System.”

USMOS 2015 was organized by Middle East Technical University (METU) and the Turkish Armed Forces Modeling and Simulation R&D Center. The conference took place at METU on November 11-12.

The paper was coauthored by Assist. Prof. Satılmış Topcu, Prof. Ezhan Karaşan and Prof. Altıntaş. The award was presented at the opening ceremony of the conference, held in the METU Cultural and Convention Center.
