As of January 2020, the Faculty of Law has been accepted as a full member of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA). Headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, ELFA was founded in 1995 by more than 80 faculties of law located in universities across Europe. The organization today has more than 150 members from 49 countries and four continents.ELFA aims to increase the quality of legal education by providing a platform for discussion and exchange. It additionally promotes cooperation among universities in Europe and represents law faculties vis-à-vis European institutions, national education institutions, and lawyers and prosecutors’ associations.
