Designed to take place outdoors on the Bilkent campus, this event is open to all Bilkenters. The event, which takes place between September 19 and 25, challenges everyone to take at least 10,000 steps or to walk/run 4 km on the days they’ve chosen to make walking or running their exercise activity.
Participants will need to record the number of steps they take by using their smartphone’s health app. If they’ve taken at least 12,500 steps within the day, an image of the total can be sent to spor@bilkent.edu.tr. One of the great things about this event is that they can participate on the days and at the times most convenient for their schedule.
Participants are to walk/run at least two times and at most four times per week; they will get five points when they take at least 10,000 steps each day they choose to exercise.
Students taking GE250/1 who collect points in the challenge will also receive points for the course: 10 points for 20,000 steps/8 km, 15 GE points for 30,000 steps/12 km, and 20 points for 40,000 steps/16 km.
