WiE to Hold 7th “Women in Business” Event

IEEE Bilkent’s WiE (Women in Engineering) sub-branch is organizing its “Women in Business” event this year for the seventh time. The event will take place on February 15 and 16 in C-Block Auditorium. Invited speakers will talk about issues related to women not only in business, but also in society, social media and the law.

Speakers at the first session, on February 15, will be Selcen Uyguntüzel (deputy general manager for customer service, Vestel), Sinem Kaya (MEA strategic initiatives manager, Oracle) and Ülkü Doyuran (systems engineering manager, Aselsan).

The second session, on February 16, will host Müge İplikçi (writer), Sema Aksoy (lawyer and first woman president of the Ankara Bar Association) and Aşkım İrem Aktulga (blogger).

Both sessions will begin at 12:40 p.m. and run until 2:10 p.m. Students taking GE 250/251 will receive 10 points for each session they attend.
