Last week, the Gastronomy Society visited Sokak Bilkent, a restaurant that actively follows the principles of the “slow food” movement. Hosted by Ayşe Cesur, the restaurant’s owner, club members had the opportunity to see how to make some unique dishes, as well as taste them.
The starter, main dish and dessert all included dried beans. Many people were initially skeptical about these recipes. However, when they tasted the dishes after watching their preparation, they actually liked them very much. “The dessert, in particular, was both delicious and healthy,” club members agreed. “It really was a great experience for us.”
All students are cordially invited to join the Gastronomy Society.
