Step right up and buy your tickets — the countdown has begun for the 18th International Ankara Theater Festival! The 10-day long event will delight theater and drama lovers, with 46 plays to be staged from November 15 through November 25.
The festival takes place every year in Ankara, bringing together many theater companies from Turkey and abroad. This year, companies from Bulgaria, England, Iran, Italy and the United States are among the participants, as well as many university, amateur and private theatrical groups from Turkey.
The theme of the 18th International Ankara Theater Festival is “Art for a Livable World.” In addition to plays, workshops, screenings and panel discussions are among the festival activities. Of course, young audiences have not been forgotten; a number of plays for children are included in the schedule.
