PhD student Mohammed Alkhaled and MSc student Batuhan Emre Kaynak from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Hanay Research Group have received the best poster award in their field at MNE-ES 2022.
MNE-ES is one of the most important conferences in the field of micro/nano fabrication. This year’s conference was held in Belgium. There were 356 poster presentations, of which 121 were in the category “Nanofabrication/Manufacturing for Functional Structures/Surfaces.”
Alkhaled and Kaynak’s study, which measures the weight of single nanoparticles and viruses using nanoelectromechanical systems, was published as an editor’s choice in the ACS Nano journal in January 2022 and was on the cover of the journal in March 2022.
