Last month, Asst. Prof. Mohamad Nadim Adi of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design was elected chair of the International Consortium of Research Staff Associations (ICoRSA) by his fellow members on the consortium’s board. He assumed the post on November 21, during the World Science Forum in Budapest.
Dr. Adi’s election marks the first time that an individual holding a position in Turkey has been named chair of ICoRSA, which was founded in 2010; he is also the organization’s first elected chair. ICoRSA, an umbrella organization for researchers and research staff associations, conducts global research projects in partnership with the EU and UNESCO and is a participant in the EU’s Responsible Research and Innovation initiative as well as projects under its Horizon 2020 framework.
