International Faculty members welcomed the fall semester with a weekend trip to Kastamonu, located about a 4-hour drive away from Ankara, on October 17-18. Known for its picturesque setting and rich history, Kastamonu and the surrounding Black Sea region were certainly worth visiting.
The group, which included 34 international faculty and family members, toured historic sites in the city of Kastamonu as well as two canyons, a waterfall and a horse farm.
“It’s” great to have more and more people attending these faculty trips,” said Berna Örge, the International Center Coordinator. “With beautiful weather on our side, we were able to see some wonderful places, do a lot of hiking and trekking while breathing the fresh mountain air, and have a really good time.”
