The fourth International Undergraduate Philosophy Conference, organized by the Department of Philosophy, the Bilkent Philosophical Society and the Bilkent Cognitive Science Society, will take place at Bilkent University on Saturday and Sunday, April 4 and 5.Registration is not required; everyone is welcome to attend.
The conference will be in English, except for the high school poster session on April 5. The keynote speaker will be Prof. Heidi Maibom (Department of Philosophy, University of Cincinnati); in her talk, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, she will address the question, “What Is Empathic Understanding?”
Presentations by undergraduate students will take place on the mornings of both days of the conference, with an undergraduate poster session on Saturday afternoon and the high school poster session on Sunday afternoon.
Poster proposals from both undergraduate university students and high school students are currently being accepted.
