Bilkent University Library will join in the celebration of Spring Fest next week with three activities: a best-video competition, a treasure hunt and a prize-wheel game. For the video competition, the organizers invite Bilkenters to “Tell us your library story!” in a short video (maximum three minutes) highlighting Bilkent Library services, users, collections, spaces or anything else the filmmaker might find interesting. Submissions are currently being accepted; the deadline is May 5. Anyone wishing to submit a video should upload it to their own YouTube account and then send the video’s YouTube link to reference@bilkent.edu.tr.
The creator of the video that gets the most likes on YouTube will win a 150 TL Meteksan gift certificate, with the winner to be announced May 12.
The treasure hunt will take place in the Main Campus Library from 2 to 4 p.m. on May 3, the first day of Spring Fest. Participants will race to find the treasure by answering questions about the Library and following the clues as quickly as possible. Prizes will be Meteksan gift certificates. Registration for the treasure hunt has already been completed, with 10 competitors and 5 substitutes chosen.
The third activity will be a prize-wheel game, “Spin, Know, Win.” This time, the action takes place outdoors, at the Library stand in the Spring Fest area from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Everyone is invited to visit the stand and play; each winner will receive a token for coffee and cake from Coffee Break.
