Second place also went to a Bilkent team, made up of senior Management students Gizem Kaplan, Çağla Kuzu and Nehir Tuna.

Regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious marketing competitions for university students, L’Oréal Brandstorm is held at both the national and international levels. The first-place team will now go on to take part in the international final in Paris, which will include the winners of the national finals from 37 countries.

The Bilkent teams “Peaufine” and “Trendsetter” were among 122 Turkish teams participating in Brandstorm this year and achieved their success in the national final in the face of strong competition from METU and Boğaziçi in particular. The Bilkent students had worked for six weeks to develop their own marketing campaigns focused on finding a digital communication strategy to recruit new, young consumers to the brand La Roche-Posay.

After presenting their ideas to the jury, composed of L’Oréal Turkey upper-echelon managers and members of the Boğaziçi University faculty and the media, Trendsetter was awarded second place, while Peaufine came in first and earned the right to represent Turkey in the international final, which will take place on June 30.

In addition to the international juried competition, all national teams will compete for the Brandstorm People’s Choice Award, presented during the finals in Paris. Each team will produce a self-marketing video for Facebook, and visitors to the page can vote for their favorite.
