Last week, as part of its “Turkish Writers at Bilkent” talk series, Bilkent University Library welcomed journalist–writer Murat Yetkin. In his talk, titled “‘Meraklısı İçin Entrikalar’ Kitabı Üzerine Söyleşi,” Mr. Yetkin discussed his new book, “Meraklısı İçin Entrikalar” (Plots for the Curious).
In the book, Mr. Yetkin writes from the perspective of a political detective following the hidden side of 10 events in recent political history. The audience listened spellbound as he enumerated those events during his talk, reeling off a list of actions and actors that included secret service vengeance, CIA operations, double (and even triple) agents, the events of September 6-7, and the ASALA attacks and assassinations.
After the talk, Mr. Yetkin signed books for those in attendance.
