The 10th Youth Academy took place on December 20-21 at the Congresium International Convention and Exhibition Center. Youth Academy is a national symposium that has been organized by the Bilkent University Industrial Engineering Operational Research Club since 2006.
Each year, approximately one thousand students from over 60 universities and 80 departments come together to participate in a unique event, as they encounter leading figures from politics, business and the media.
Among the speakers at this year’s Youth Academy were Nasuh Mahruki (founder and president, AKUT), Mete Güney (Southeast Europe general manager, Mastercard), Mehmet Yörükoğlu (vice governor, Central Bank of the Turkish Republic), Barış Karakullukçu (CEO, Mudo), Selçuk Yaşar (general manager, Roketsan), Hakan Alp (vice general manager of human resources, Finansbank), Burhan Çakır (director of human resources, TOFAŞ) and Mehmet Auf (personal development specialist).
All participants received a certificate; Bilkent students enrolled in the GE 250/251 course received 200 points for attending.
