Bilkent University has been named one of the top-ranking universities in Turkey in the 2017 QS Graduate Employability Rankings.
These rankings seek to recognize institutions around the world that are committed to and effective in preparing students for the workplace. First published in 2015 as a pilot edition, the ranking now features 300 institutions, providing the world’s students with a tool they can use to compare universities’ performances in this area.
The methodology differs from that employed in the overall QS World University Rankings, with some different indicators used and existing indicators weighted differently. The indicators fall into five categories: employer reputation (30%); employer partnerships (25%); alumni outcomes (20%); employer–student connections (15%); and graduate employment rate (10%). Each institution’s total score is compiled on this basis.
Among the universities evaluated, Bilkent ranked in the 201+ band overall. The only other Turkish universities to appear in the rankings, Boğaziçi and Koç, were in the same band.
