During the last month of this past summer, the Radio Bilkent staff conducted a number of activities to enable all of the station’s units to get off on the right foot for the new academic semester.
To begin with, meetings were held in every subunit to analyze the structure and operation of the station, with the aim of making further improvements over time. After extensive discussion, decisions were made whose implementation will help staff members overcome any minor obstacles that might be noted. In the General Broadcasting unit’s meeting, staff members looked at the broadcasting content and decided to add some special programs in order to maintain and enhance the diversity of music genres offered.
In addition, all of the units conducted their own workshops, where experienced professionals from related fields gave interactive presentations; for instance, the music workshop welcomed radio host Özgür Aksuna from Max FM.
Most important of all, Radio Bilkent put a great deal of effort into recruiting additional staff members for the new semester. “We always need and welcome new, energetic, self-disciplined members into our Radio Bilkent family,” declared station representatives.
