A number of new administrative appointments have been made recently, marking the beginning of the 2013 fall semester.
Two administrative departments have seen new appointments due to the retirement of their longtime heads. Semra Oba, who has been serving as personnel manager at Bilkent University since 1988, and Nevzat Türker, who has been director of the university’s Accounting Office since 1991, both retired on August 31, 2013. Bilkent extends its gratitude to Ms. Oba and Mr. Türker for their invaluable services to the university during their long tenures and wishes them all the best in their retirement.
Ebru Ural Özkan, who has served as head of Human Resources at Siemens Communications, will take over as personnel manager, while Murat Aşkar from Bilkent Holding has been appointed acting director of the Accounting Office in order to oversee the reorganization of the department. We wish Ms. Ural Özkan and Mr. Aşkar all the best in their new positions.
