A roundtable discussion organized by Bilkent TTO and the British Council took place February 16 on the university’s Main Campus.
Rector Abdullah Atalar and Provost Adnan Akay, along with a number of deans, associate deans, department heads and faculty members from Bilkent, participated in the event, with the British Council represented by its director, Helen Silvester, and 11 chancellors, academicians and experts from the UK.
During the discussion, Bilkent researchers presented their experiences of collaboration with UK partners. Session participants also received information regarding the opportunities for cooperation with the Council and were briefed about previous and planned collaborations as well as possible challenges.
It is expected that the number of collaborative projects involving the British Council and Bilkent University will increase as a result of the roundtable.
