On November 20-21, the School of English Language hosted a joint event for the members of two regional English language teachers’ organizations, T-PLUS and TESOL Arabia.
T-PLUS is the acronym for a support group in Turkey that stands for Trainers’ Professional Learning and Unlimited Sharing. The mission of T-PLUS is to contribute to the development of English language teachers’ training and in-service professional development within university sector language programs through collaboration and open exchange of practice.
TESOL Arabia is a not-for-profit English language teachers’ organization devoted to the professional development of its members, who are mostly based in the UAE and the Gulf region.
The joint event gave the participants a platform where current practices and possibilities of offering professional development and learning opportunities for English language teachers were discussed and shared.
