Two years ago, the Şermin Savaşçı Education Fund was established at Bilkent to provide support for students in the Faculty of Engineering. During a ceremony held online on Wednesday, March 30, ten students were presented with scholarships for the 2021–2022 academic year.
The fund was established through the generosity of Şermin Savaşçı, the daughter of Bilkent University’s founder İhsan Doğramacı. Ms. Savaşçı attended the ceremony via Zoom, as did Rector Abdullah Atalar, Faculty of Engineering Dean Ezhan Karaşan, members of the Scholarship Selection Committee and other members of the university administration.
