The Bilkent University Republic Run always brings out a crowd of eager participants, no matter what the weather. This year’s race took place last Saturday morning, and the conditions were great — dry and sunny, and not too cold. Nearly 230 Bilkenters were ready and set to go when the starter gave the signal at 11 a.m.

Some ran, some jogged and some walked the 3 km route, which began at the East Campus Sports Hall, went along the road between East and Main Campuses and ended with an ascent from the mescit junction up past the dormitories area and on to the finish line at the Dormitories Sports Hall.

After the completion of the race, the winners of the 2013 Republic Run received trophies at an awards ceremony held at Sports Hall. The top finishers in the race, overall and by category, are listed below.
