The İhsan Doğramacı Foundation Özel Bilkent Primary and Middle School held its ninth annual Spring Symposium on Effective Teaching Practices on April 18, hosting more than 400 educators from Ankara and 16 other cities in Turkey.
The former president of the Constitutional Court, Prof. Yekta Güngör Özden, and Prof. Yankı Yazgan, a specialist in psychiatry at the Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and the Yale Child Study Center, were the symposium’s keynote speakers. Their remarks focused on the role of effective teaching practices and the importance of school.
Participants attended workshops and roundtable discussions led by Bilkent Primary and Middle School teachers. They also had the opportunity to enjoy piano and folk dance performances by Bilkent Primary and Middle School students.
