Prof. Tayfun Özçelik, dean of the Faculty of Science, has been appointed to the editorial board of npj Genomic Medicine, the Nature partner journal in the field of genomic medicine.
Nature Partner Journals (npg), which employ a modified set of the flagship journal Nature’s editorial standards, are an online-only, open access series of Nature Research journals, published by Springer Nature in partnership with global academic institutions, centers of excellence, philanthropic funders and membership associations. The publisher notes that the partner journals bring together “strong editorial leadership with world-class publication systems to deliver high-quality, peer-reviewed original research to the global scientific community,” and also transcend traditional research boundaries “to serve as intersections for many disciplines and systems, opening up research to the wider public” through their open-access format.
Dedicated to publishing scientific advances in all aspects of genomics and their application in the practice of medicine, npj Genomic Medicine is a partnership with the Center of Excellence in Genomic Medicine Research. The composition of its international editorial board spans the breadth of the journal’s coverage in its inclusion of eminent researchers from the fields of human genetics, immunology, pediatrics, cardiology, computational biology, clinical pharmacology, toxicology, obstetrics and gynecology, epidemiology, biostatistics and pathology.
