What do you like best about Turkey?

The weather; although it’s cold, I really like it.

Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?

The weather and the food. The people are also like Turkish people, but I’d have to say that Jordanians are a lot lazier than Turkish people.

What will you miss most about Bilkent/Turkey?

I’ll miss a lot of things. I’ll definitely miss the people I’ve become friends with here, and I’ll definitely miss the Bilkent “vibe.”

What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?

The FC building, especially at night when it’s completely empty. It’s very fun to spend time there with your friends.

What’s your favorite Turkish food and/or favorite part of Turkish culture?

My favorite part of Turkish culture is the superstitions. They’re very interesting, and I’d like to know more about them.

Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?

I really have no idea. I go where life takes me, and I don’t like to plan ahead. It’s not a life if you’re planning every minute of it and just waiting for your plans to fall through. Sometimes it’s best to just let things happen on their own.

What’s the hardest challenge you’ve handled in Turkey?

Definitely the language barrier has been tough to deal with – like, I’d be trying to talk to the lady who runs my dorm and I wouldn’t understand anything she’d say.

What cities have you visited in Turkey, and which one is your favorite?

So far I’ve only been in Ankara and İstanbul, but I prefer Ankara because it’s too crowded in İstanbul.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Procrastinating. It may not sound like a talent, but I have literally procrastinated procrastinating.

What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently about Bilkent/Turkey?

Bilkent is not like Ankara – I’ve heard this a lot. Anything can happen at Bilkent.

Describe yourself in three words.

Compassionate, bubbly, dynamic.

If you could master any skill, which one would you choose, and why?

Dancing – to just like feel the music take over my body and dance like a person who doesn’t care.
