What do you like best about Turkey?

The coexistence of historical greatness and modernity.

Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?

The love of food and gossiping is very common in both countries. Also, the Urdu language comes from Turkish.

What will you miss most about Bilkent/Turkey?

The emphasis that Bilkent puts on being the best in your respective field. Also, I’ll miss the great friends that I’ve made over the years.

What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?

Anything outside the dorms and faculty buildings. Basically any grass area with some sunshine.

What’s your favorite Turkish food and/or favorite part of Turkish culture?

İskender kebap, Antakya dürüm and güllaç.

Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?

Probably working as a chef or an economist.

What’s the hardest challenge you’ve handled in Turkey?

Probably being homesick, as I’d never been away from home and family before.

What places have you visited in Turkey, and which one is your favorite?

I’ve visited İstanbul, İzmir, Eskişehir, Antalya and Kapadokya so far. İzmir is my favorite.

What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Turkey?

“Are you rich, or smart, or both, since you’re studying at Bilkent?”
