What do you like best about Turkey?
I love Turkish cuisine the most. Besides that, the wonderful beauty of nature and the people always make me want to come back.

Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?
Turkish people are very friendly and kind, characteristics which remind me of my family at home.

What will you miss most about Bilkent/Turkey?
I think leaving my roommates will be the hardest part as we have become so close to each other. I will also miss the Bilkent cats very dearly.

What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
My favorite place on campus is the Bilka hill. I loved going there when it was warmer to read books after classes.

What’s your favorite Turkish food and/or favorite part of Turkish culture?
Baklava definitely takes first place. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
I see myself having a family of my own and perhaps a successful biotech startup.

What’s the hardest challenge you’ve handled in Turkey?
Not being able to bring every cat I see on the street back home with me.

What places have you visited in Turkey, and which one is your favorite?
I have visited İstanbul, Antalya, Bursa and Bodrum. Even though I loved visiting all these places, Bodrum was my favorite. I loved the historical sites and islands and the fact that it is less crowded than other touristic cities in Turkey.

What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Turkey?
That my Turkish accent is cute. I think it will not be as cute once I start speaking Turkish fluently.

Describe yourself in three words.
Ambitious, focused and sigma.
