What do you like best about Turkey?
The people and the culture.
Are there any similarities between your country’s culture and Turkey’s?
Yes, there are a lot of similarities, like we both have almost the same lifestyle, the same ideologies and the same food!
What will you miss most about Turkey/Bilkent?
Gatherings of friends!
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
The grass area in front of Bilka, because I spend a lot of time there with my friends when the weather is nice.
Why Turkey?
Because Turkey has almost has the same culture as Jordan, because I like the Turkish language, and because Bilkent University is among the top universities worldwide. Also, it has the best scientists and instructors, and I have always wanted to graduate from a prestigious university like Bilkent.
What’s your favorite Turkish food/favorite part of Turkish culture?
My favorite Turkish foods are lahmacun and çiğ köfte.
Where do expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
I hope to have my own stem cell lab, since that field is the reason why I’m studying genetics.
What’s the hardest challenge you’ve overcome in Turkey?
Living alone without my family, and coping with the cold weather in Ankara!
What cities have you visited in Turkey? Which one do you like the best?

That’s the reason why it’s hidden!
What’s a question you’re asked frequently, or the most interesting comment you’ve heard at Bilkent/in Turkey?
Actually there’s a question that saddens me; almost 30 to 40 percent of the people I meet don’t really know where Jordan is, or that it’s known as Urdun in Turkish. So for my Turkish friends, Jordan is a Arab country, and it’s located between Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
