All students, alumni, faculty, staff and alumni/faculty/ staff family members are invited to participate in the 2021 Republic Run, which will take place on Saturday, October 23, starting at 10:30 a.m. Held each year by the Physical Education and Sports Center as part of its “Sports as a Way of Life” program, the event is a campus tradition.
This year, COVID-19 measures have made it necessary to stagger race start times, which are set according to age: 10 and under, 10:30 a.m.; 11–15, 10:45 a.m.; 16–20, 11 a.m.; 21–25, 11:15 a.m.; 26–30, 11:30 a.m.; 31–35, 11:45 a.m.; 36 and above, 12 noon.
Children 10 and under will start from the junction near the Faculty of Music building. All other runners will start at the East Sports Hall and finish at the Spring Fest area. Please note that if weather conditions are not optimal, the run may be rerouted.
You can register and get a race number at any of the sports halls. Students in the GE250/251 program will receive 20 points for participating in the event.
