How often do you exercise?

I exercise at least four days a week.

How has regular exercise affected your life?

Exercising has taught me discipline and ethics, and improved both my physical and mental strength. I can say that I’ve improved in various aspects of life since I started exercising regularly.

What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?

Do something you like. Never make any excuses. Never give up. Give it all you’ve got if you really want it.

What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?

Competition: I always have one eye on my opponent. I aim to be the better side and work harder if I fail.

Teamwork: Even if I’m running or lifting weights at the gym, I try to surround myself with supportive friends. I know that their support is what will take me to the next level, in addition to my personal efforts.

Pain: I can’t imagine any sport that doesn’t cause some pain if done properly. That’s what makes me feel good when I actually achieve something.

Which Bilkent sports facilities (sports halls, playing fields, tennis courts, etc.) do you use? Have you taken any courses or participated in any activities?

I train at the gyms in the Bilkent Sports Halls, and play basketball, football and table tennis at the facilities for those sports. I try to participate in all the intramural tournaments (football, basketball and volleyball.). Most importantly, I’m a proud member of the Bilkent Judges American football team.
