How often do you exercise?
I lift weights four times a week and run once a week.
How has regular exercise affected your life?
Exercise is a very important part of my life. Without it, not only would I become physically weak and lethargic, but my mental health would suffer as well. Overall, exercise makes me feel alive and full of energy.
What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?
Discipline is crucial if you want to stick to exercising and make progress. Working out when you’re motivated is easy; it’s on those days when you don’t feel like doing it that exercising makes the biggest difference.
What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?
Lifting weights, ultimate Frisbee, and basketball.
Which Bilkent sports facilities (sports halls, playing fields, tennis courts, etc.) do you use?
I mainly use the Main Sports Hall. Before COVID, I used to swim in the pool, play basketball on the indoor courts and play ultimate Frisbee on the American football field. I’ve also run in the fall and spring 2K runs.
