How often do you exercise?

I used to exercise six times a week (basically every day except Sunday). Since COVID restrictions have led to the gym being shut down on weekends, I now exercise five times a week.

How has regular exercise affected your life? 

Regular exercise allows my life to be more organized and productive. Even on days when I don’t do much, I have a feeling of fulfillment if I’ve exercised. This helps me be less stressed and makes me a disciplined person.

What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?

Consistency is probably better than perfection. Showing up regularly and developing a strong habit is far more fruitful than striving for perfection every single time. It’s a long-term commitment and should be treated as such.

What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?

Running outside, football, and a fit body.

Which Bilkent sports facilities (Sports Halls, playing fields, tennis courts, etc.) do you use?

I’ve been using the dorm fitness gym regularly.
