How often do you exercise?
I do fitness training five or six days a week.
How has regular exercise affected your life?
It makes it easier to plan my day. Having control over my appearance, strength and mental calm, in short having control over my life, makes me feel motivated to strive for my other goals.
What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?
I recommend that they are disciplined in their training, not just exercising on demand. Regular practice will always yield results. After seeing results, the desire to do sports will follow.
What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?
Body, Discipline, Calmness
Which Bilkent sports facilities (Sports Halls, playing fields, tennis courts, etc.) do you use?
I use the gyms, swimming pool, stadium, tennis courts and group exercise rooms.
Have you taken any courses or participated in any activities (intramural tournaments, swim festivals, Zumba master classes, etc.)?
I’ve taken yoga, pilates, Zumba and tennis classes. I had the chance to attend two Zumba master classes. In addition to the classes at Bilkent, I taught beginner yoga classes for one year.
