How often do you exercise?
I exercise almost every day for nearly two hours.
How has regular exercise affected your life?
The first and most important thing I earn through regular exercise is discipline. It helps me organize my life and manage my time efficiently. A regular exercise schedule also helps me to be more ambitions, which motivates me, provides me with strength and encourages me to do sports everyday.
What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?
It may be frustrating for some that they don’t see immediate physical results. They may feel that they are not improving, but progress in sports is like a tree’s growth: it is a slow. We need to be patient and trust the process. In addition, it’s important to drink enough water and not consume things that aren’t nutritious.
What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?
Discipline, ambition, endurance
Which Bilkent sports facilities (Sports Halls, playing fields, tennis courts, etc.) do you use?
I use the sports halls, the playing fields and sometimes the swimming pool.
Have you taken any courses or participated in any activities (intramural tournaments, swim festivals, Zumba master classes, etc.)?
I attended the Republic Run.
