The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management has been holding the annual Bilkent Tourism Forum with the aim of bringing representatives of the tourism sector and institutions of higher education together for high-level talks aimed at strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors and educational institutions. This year’s forum, the ninth to be held, will also celebrate the department’s 32nd anniversary. The theme of the 2020 forum is “Tourism After the Pandemic: A New Future,” with a focus on immediate priorities for tourism’s restart, proposals for recovery, opportunities that lie ahead and best practices. It will take place online as a Zoom video webinar on December 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (GMT+3). Participants and attendees will include representatives of key players in the industry from Turkey and around the world, as well as academics and students.

Simultaneous translation will be available at the forum, as it will be held with international participation. The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, a member of the Alliance by Institut Paul Bocuse, is organizing the event to feature live connections with participants, including other members of the Alliance, in 20 countries. Located in Lyon, France, Institut Paul Bocuse is a renowned international school of culinary arts, hospitality and food service management, and along with other international participants will be prepared to share its experiences with COVID-19 during the Forum.A detailed program for the event may be found at http://thm.bilkent.edu.tr/forum/
