To help increase safety on the roads, the Ankara Department of Security Office and Bilkent University are teaming up to offer several traffic-related activities and educational programs on Thursday, April 11.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the mescit parking lot, all who are interested can practice penalty shootouts while using simulation goggles that mimic the effect of being under the influence of alcohol; view automobile crash simulator demonstrations and learn about the importance of seat belt use; attend an introductory session on the traffic radar system; and learn how to write an accident report.
At 12:30 p.m., an hour-long educational program on basic traffic safety will take place in the Faculty of Business Administration V Building’s Auditorium 1.
Students who participate in the activities in the parking lot will have eight violation points removed from their records. Those who attend the traffic safety program will also have violation points removed from their records; however, anyone who violates the university’s traffic rules and regulations within a month of attending the program will have their previous violation status reinstated.
