Two Bilkent faculty members were among the individuals receiving this year’s Outstanding Young Scientist Awards from the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). The awards were presented at a ceremony held on February 1 at the presidential palace.
The Bilkent awardees are Asst. Prof. Gül Günaydın (Psychology) and Asst. Prof. Serkan İsmail Göktuna (Molecular Biology and Genetics).
TÜBA introduced its Program to Award Young Scientists (GEBİP) in 2001 to recognize and support outstanding young researchers working in the natural and social sciences, engineering and medicine.
