The 2016 TÜBİTAK Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index has been made public. The index lists the top 50 universities in Turkey as ranked on the basis of performance in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation. Bilkent University, with 82.63 points, is ranked third.
The intent of the index is to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in universities. The top 10 universities in this year’s index are:

- Bilkent University
- İstanbul Technical University
- Boğaziçi University
- Koç University
- Gebze Technical University
- Özyeğin University
- İzmir Institute of Technology
- Yıldız Technical University
