Judges Brought Justice to İzmir
With its new roster and coaching staff, Bilkent Judges brought justice to İzmir, returning home with crushing, double victories in İzmir against İzmir Ekonomi and Yaşar Universities. After a triumphant return from a challenging away schedule, spirits are up. On the return home, Captain Oğuzcan Karataş took the opportunity to congratulate the "new" Judges, this year's recruits, whom he thanked for performing "beyond our imagination" and expressed his conviction that "the Judges can only but continue their winning streak." Çağıl Küçükel, the team's offensive captain, was buzzing with excitement. "This team is winning the cup next year; I'm telling you," he said. Both the newly-minted special teams captain, Onur Asıliskender, and the defensive captain, Kemal Tuğrul Sümer, were particularly impressed with the teamwork: "The Judges just got together a short time ago, but regardless, it's as if we've been playing together for ages." Said Onur, "it was a clean-cut, decent performance on everyone's part." Kemal Tuğrul echoed the same sentiment as well and saved some special words of praise for the new Judges: "It was impeccable. Everyone did their parts to their fullest and now, we're bringing home two priceless victories."
At the end of night, one person wearing a noticeable grin was the head coach, Erkan Mert Yılmaz. "The Judges are not merely about the game. What we do is beyond the game; it's about fraternity, about friendship, about being a family. We sailed past troubled waters, turned our backs on defeat. Now, every yard we run, every goal we score, we do it to win the cup. Next year, this team is going to win the cup. But we need you, we need to have the hearts and minds of each and every Bilkenter with us. We want to see all Bilkenters, former and current, to be there with us when we lift the cup to congratulate a triumph that we share together."
