Exhibition of Paintings by Mustafa Kula Opens at the Library Art Gallery
A new exhibition, consisting of paintings by Mustafa Kula, opened last week, on December 6, at the Library Art Gallery.
Described as "a rising star among young artists," Mustafa Kula graduated from the Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2008. The artist's style, in which his love of drawing can be seen in an extraordinary use of line, incorporates surrealistic elements reflecting his inner world. Influences of both modern and postmodern painting appear in Mr. Kula's works, which, critics have written, offer glimpses of day-to-day realities despite the disjunction of individual details from their expected placement in the "real world."
Those who would like to see the exhibition may visit the Library Art Gallery on weekdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through January 3, 2013.
