On Wednesday, December 19, in C-Block Auditorium, international and exchange students currently studying at Bilkent put on an unforgettably entertaining end-of-term performance, which was organized by the Turkish Unit. Performing entirely in Turkish, the students showed off their dramatic talents, their newly acquired language skills and also their understanding of Turkish culture.

The show consisted mainly of skits and impersonations in which the performers enacted, comically, some of the "typical" experiences of an international student in Turkey, including humorous dialogues with local people resulting from miscommunication. Besides skits, the program featured screenings of interviews with international students about their impressions of Bilkent and Ankara and their travels in Turkey. There were also Turkish poem recitations, some song and dance performances and two short plays.

The program ended with a hilarious parody of the James Bond "Skyfall" film. Both the performers and the audience seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the show, and the concept was great in the sense that it gave Turkish audience members a chance to view themselves from a different perspective.
