Campus Food and Drink Pass Safety Tests

Associate Professor Tests conducted early this month confirm that food and drink served at all Bilkent eateries meet health safety standards. The September sampling was part of an ongoing series of tests to ensure that all cafeterias, cafes and restaurants on campus, including those at the preschool, elementary, and BUPS, maintain hygenic conditions.
Under the testing program, food and water samples are taken from every food service facility at regular intervals. However, "to ensure that the samples are representative of actual working conditions, food service managers and workers are not told when the samples will be collected," says Ayhan Daš, Manager of Bilkent Cafeterias Management.
During the recent testing, every sample collected met health standards.
