Republic Cup - Badminton Tournament
The tournament was organized on Sunday, December 5 at the Main Sports Hall. There were a total of 21 participants (7 women and 14 men), who enjoyed playing Badminton all day. "Badminton is the fastest racket sport on earth," said Mr. İrfan Yıldırım, Badminton coach.
Participants had a chance to try their skills in five different categories; results are given below:
a- Women's Singles:
1st Place: Güloya Altay
2nd Place: Aylin Güvener
b- Men's Singles:
1st Place: Mete Özçörekçi
2nd Place: Görkem Kaya
c- Women's Doubles:
1st Place: Aylin Güvener - Ayşegül Turgut
2nd Place: Deniz Uğurlu - Ceren Güney
d- Men's Doubles:
1st Place: Görkem Kaya - Alexei Medyedew
2nd Place: Giray Sadık - A.Tuğberk Tözman
e- Mixed Doubles:
1st Place: Bilge Acun - Mete Özçörekçi
2nd Place: Güloya Altay - Görkem Kaya
